University of Nottingham vs University of Newcastle - Master in advanced Architecture

If you had to pick between this two which would you pick? And why. Nightlife is rlly important and the feel of the city (how nice it is) is important too. Ofc the reputation of the uni and its quality is also rlly important.
I’ve heard Nottingham is cheaper and safer than Newcastle upon tyne but Uni of Newcastle upon tyne has a much better reputation. I’m an international student do idk much abt the cities.

Hello @vishwas2255!

I am familiar with both the cities, and I am a student at University of Nottingham (albeit I do not study Architecture).

Truthfully, in terms of the universities themselves, they are substantially different. This is because because the campus at Newcastle is very close to the city centre and both University Park Campus & Jubilee Campus at Nottingham are located in the western end of the city, close to really nice parks (e.g., Wollaton Park).

In terms of where students live at Nottingham, a large amount live close to either Lenton or Beeston, which are convenient as they are close to those campuses. The two universities are on the whole great choices but very different in feel in my opinion.

I assume it is perphaps not practical for you to visit them in person in order to help you make a decision, but I believe it would be really advantageous for you to do so if you can since you may work out which option may be best for you based on your needs/interests!

All the best,
Abian.
