Hi, I am 16 and have my RAF PTI vetting test this week. Anyone have any tips or experience to share.
Thanks,

Please read the pinned post about not putting dates on this site and edit your comment. Thank you!
Otherwise, there'll be fitness and swimming tests, assessments in various sports, coaching sessions by the candidates, interviews and presentations.

Hi have you done your vetting and if so how did you find it? I'll have mine coming up soon and just want to know what to expect. Was a MSFT part of this as this is the one thing i am absolutely dreading!

Yes just done it. EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED. There is swimming and a msft however there is no press ups or sit ups. They have also taken out the burgen run, rope climb, jerry can carry, deadlift and military press. They have added a 2km run and a 110kg mid thigh pull.

Can I ask do they still do the 5 minute talk about yourself and the coaching warm up? Did you find out on the day? Good luck. Thank you.

Swimming you have to do 50m in under 60 seconds. MSFT- To gain maximum marks you need to get 13.2 however we were told not many people get to this level. You have to be able to to a minimum of 110kg mid thigh pull.

There is no minimum however they mark you 1-4 (4 being the best) i got to 12.4 and scored a 3. The only way to get a 4 is to reach level 13.2. I would say anything over 12 is a 3 but cant say for definite. Just make sure you are able to go over 12 before the test as I think this would give you an advantage.
