gcse english literature tips

so i'm currently working at a weak 7 in english literature, but i want to achieve an 8/9 in the real thing, which is in under 3 months.
my texts are:
romeo and juliet (ive not got a clue on what is going in the book and we've already finished it...)
an inspector calls love and relationships anthology a christmas carol
i am struggling the most with poetry, particularly how to memorise all 15 of the poems as you wont know which could come up in the gcse 😭😭
i am also struggling on how to read and pick key quotes with lots of analysis from romeo and juliet, due to the text format, so any tips could be really helpful!!

Highly highly recommended Mr bruff.
He got me through English lit poetry and quotes.
I did Romeo and Juliet, I picked it cause I hated the story, get a general feel of the story maybe by watching the movie then try to understand the book, wether u hate it or luv it try to feel sth abt the characters. Then go from there.
With quotes especially in poetry I recommend memorising certain ones that can be used for lots of questions. Mr bruff can explain that rlly well.
I'd highly recommend again checking out Mr bruff quotes videos as he'll explain much better.

Hi I do different texts to you (except Inspector Calls) but I guess it's similar revision.

Shakespeare + 19th century novel - Use Mr Bruff, he is really good with explaining and he does in depth analysis. Also use SaveMyExams they are so underrated when it comes to English Literature they explain everything really well and in detail and that really helps. Also when it comes to memorising quotes I literally just write quotes on post-it notes and stick them around my house in place I go often so that I read the quote and that way it just stays in my long-term memory.

Modern Texts - with AIC, again use SaveMyExams their summaries are really useful. They explain context, themes, and characters really well. I also just on a piece of paper, write down words that describe each character in the play. So for example with Mr Birling I say he's stubborn and so on. This way I can just include these words in my essays to describe him. Also when writing, remember to include stage direction because remember it's not a book it's a play.

Poetry - With poems in my mock I got 22/30 but then in class tests I started getting 30/30 consistently. With poems I make mindmaps on each poem and I literally only use 3 quotes from each you really don't need to be memorising huge quotes. Just make sure you choose 3 good ones which summarise the poem and are easy to analyse, meaning they have language techniques you can analyse. Use SaveMyExams again. Also when writing your essays ALWAYS remember to mention structure and form of the poem because you are really restricted from obtaining higher marks when you don't mention them.

I hope you found this somewhat useful but let me know if you have any further questions!
