Calories deficit

Im trying to loose weight whilst building muscle and o just feel like nothings working 😭😭😭. Im doing the whole calorie deficit high protien diet and it just feels like the fat isnt budging but the muscle isn’t building. Im working out with a trainer consistently and they said it would take some time to see some results but ive been at this nearly two months and zilch. Any advice on what i could do to speed the process up?

It does take time. a few months if you are doing it the healthy way.

btw building muscle while losing fat is incredibly difficult to do and genetics play a huge part in it. keep the good work up

Two months isn't a particularly long time to see results. If you want faster results, focus on one thing at a time (muscle gain or fat-loss); doing both at the same time isn't particularly efficient.

Two months is still early for body recomposition; fat loss and muscle gain might take some time to show. Make sure you don't have a significant calorie deficit, get enough sleep, be consistent, and focus more on measurements, strength gains, and images than the scale. Results typically appear 10 to 12 weeks later.

It’s completely normal to feel frustrated at this stage two months can feel long, but body recomposition (losing fat while gaining muscle) often takes more time to show visible changes. Since muscle gain can mask fat loss on the scale, try tracking progress through measurements, photos, or strength improvements rather than weight alone. Make sure you’re not in too steep a calorie deficit that can slow muscle growth and metabolism. Also, prioritize sleep, hydration, and recovery, as they play a huge role in body composition. Staying consistent with your current plan is key visible results often start showing around the 10–12 week mark.
