Do I like, date, or am I over him? How do I tell? Am I making to big a deal?

I like this guy's personality; he is good-looking, and I feel like I like him, but I don't know. For some reason, I feel like I don't like him out of the blue, which is crazy because I liked him on and off for like 2 years. You may be like, why did u not tell him, well, I was too young till now, and I think worst of all, he might like me back, but I don't know. In the end, I don't know how to figure out if I still really like him and want to date him. Also, am I making too big of a deal about this? Am I being self-centered because none of my friends seem to be responding to me about this, which is why I'm taking to this...
