Student Finance Eligibility Question

Hi all,

I have lived in England continuously since September 10th, 2022 as someone with settled status, and I have finished my A levels last year.

I have received 2 offers from unis that have assessed me as a home student and 2 offers from another unis that have assessed me as international. I am keen to accept one of the offers that have assessed me as a home student.

However, I am worried that I may not receive any funding from student finance england as per the sf website writing "you must be continuously living in England for three years prior to the first day of your first academic year"

Is it likely I will receive a student loan from SFE England?

Hi Rosemary778,

Can you confirm where you were residing within the 3 year qualifying period?

Can you also confirm your nationality?

Thanks, Clare

Hi Rosemary778,

In that case, you should be eligible as long as it is a course and university that attracts SFE support and you meet all other standard eligibility criteria.
