Hobby/intellect help

I've been trying to branch out to different hobbies because at the moment, all day everyday - everything I do includes an electronic advice(listening to music, shopping, netflix, gaming etc).

So I'm looking for hobbies that are more intellectual or creative.
For example I'm reading more books and learning some short phrases from mandarin.

I either want some hobbies that are useful like the 2 I metioned(they arent expensive either) OR I was thinking about learning about new, niche or interesting topics in general just to expand my knowledge.

thanks

I bought a book the other day that I'm loving, its Nuclear Facilites: A Designer's GUide by Bill Collum, it is amazing! I recommend giving it a good read.

Good afternoon,

Its always great to have hobbies you love, so maybe if you love gaming you could do gaming drawings or maybe find a group gaming club in your local area.

I personally love to bake, as this is inexpensive and there is so many great easy recipes you can follow. The product at the end is always great too! For example these easy Blueberry muffins are great, or BBC has great Easy baking recipes.

Another hobby I enjoy is crochet; this was slightly more tricky to learn and slightly more expensive but can have some wonderful outcomes. I recommend the online YouTube videos as these are a lot easier to follow rather than the patterns.

Another easy hobbie to take up is swimming, as you can book into your local swimming pool for lane swimming. There is always a slow lane for beginners, and it is easy to get into if you can already swim. It might be a bit more challenging if you don't already know how to swim.

Additionally, hiking in your local area is great; just going for a walk to your local common or woods is a lovely way to get outside. If you wanted to make it more interesting, you could invite friends or even volunteer at the local dog sanctuary, as they always need volunteer dog walkers.

Some other cheapish hobbies could include arts and crafts e.g. diamond paintings, paint by numbers, sewing, knitting, crochet, watercolour paintings, colour in books. There are also more sports like running ( couch to 5k), gym, swimming, cycling, boxing, hiking, and yoga (YouTube videos). Or maybe you would enjoy doing puzzles or crosswords. There are so many hobbies out there, and most people don't even realise they are already doing them on a daily basis, like cooking.

I hope these answers help and you can find something you love.

If you have any questions please let us know.
