I'm Disgusted....

Have you ever searched up something that was normal, legal or innocent, but for some reason, after scrolling and scrolling, you seem to find inappropriate, downright disgusting or illegal content?

I'm worried that my IP can see it, and I might get flagged up. However, whenever I see something illegal, inappropriate or disgusting, I either report it or I delete internet search history, because ew!

Basically, I searched up if my internet provider saves internet search history on their data, and legit sources confirm they don't, including my own internet provider.

Luckily for me, I will be careful with how long I spend on the internet, scroll or what I search up next time. I don't want to traumatise or scare myself again. I can barely sleep anymore.

I swear I've seen CP on the internet, 🤢🤢🤢 even on mainstream social media sites such as Instagram, and when I report it, they don't even take any action, which is so disgusting and infuriating

Sorry to hear you've seen some horrible stuff online, dependent on what you have seen, it may be appropriate to report it to CEOP if it involves children: CEOP

What if the police are investigating me? Even if I hate that content and codemn it completely, along with the digusting pedophiles that watch it, even if it happened years ago.

if you just accidentally stumbled upon that stuff, without actively researching it, then you have no reason to be paranoid.

Yeah, cuz the thing is i have accidently stumbled across it many times, but because of that, it made me wonder what keywords can be typed into Google that triggers a safety or a warning response for users on the internet. I was also wondering what Google Images was doing about this abhorrent content too, because there's no way something so horrendous, cruel and dark can exist, like it has to be fake, because how can something like this exist. You know what I mean?

I was unfortunately abused as a child from the ages of 8 to 17, and I just didn't want to believe it's true, and if I saw it, I wanted to report it.

idk you kinda make it sound as if you purposely typed in a bunch of messed-up keywords, to be honest. i don't think that sort of content is as easily accessible as you're making it out to be because, despite being online for so many years, I've never encountered it. i mean, gore videos, sure, but child abuse content? nah.

You'd be surprised how illegal content can be buried online, even when you haven't searched up anything illegal at all or you searched up something that is completely normal and safe for work. You are lucky you haven't seen it for yourself, because I unfortunately have.

But no, I would never want to view child abuse pictures on purpose at all, but I have unfortunately have seen it, despite not even searching up anything illegal, immoral etc.

All you can do is report it and move on with your life, but what I've seen hurts me deeply, due to what I have experienced in my own childhood.

Obviously, I am happy that I have not seen child abuse images for many years. I pray that I never have to be subject to it again, because obviously it's against my own will.

Also, like I said before, it was "buried" so it would be about one or two images, if you keep scrolling and sctolling on Google, but that being said, it should always be ZERO, 0 should ALWAYS be the number. It shouldn't even exist and to think that there are monsters in this world abusing innocent children makes me feel very sick.

@Ciel I can understand why you are doubtful and apprehensive, due to the way I worded things, but I can reassure you that I am not that type of person. However, what I have experienced has created horrible intrusive thoughts in my head, and made me doubt myself, even though, I know I haven't done anything wrong.

Sorry, I was meant to say that I was talking about laws, legal advice or safeguarding, rather than actually searching up abuse, because that would show purposeful intent, when it was the complete opposite!!!

Oh yeah, I am posting on this account, as I deleted the other!

What are you looking for that you accidentally stumble upon this material "many times"? I don't think this is a common experience.
