You don't need work experience for any humanities subject.

Hey there!

I would definitely get in contact with your school's careers team to see what they have to offer and say based on those interests you describe, and remember it doesn't have to be directly related to a given subject - a lot of work experience these days is transferable. For example, my part-time jobs at university, while not directly related to a career in Politics and International Relations, they definitely set me up for a future career quite well.

Best of luck!

Hi @F_.T

I would say for fashion there are lots of volunteering opportunities that can be related, like the last post said many skills are transferable. I have volunteered for charity shops, there is also a great charity called Smart Works that provides clothes for women to help them get jobs. Depending on where you live I know many people volunteer at fashion weeks.

Retail is also really useful place to start in fashion as you can learn a lot about customers and how it works at the point of sale which is great for marketing.

If you are interested in sewing perhaps a local tailor may let you help and assist them.

Emailing people and companies and just asking is a great way to get opportunities, also looking on sites like https://www.fashionworkie.com/ or just even a google search for fashion volunteering/work experience/internships.

I hope this is helpful
