Med and dental

Can I apply to 3 med schools and 1 dent.
Hypothetically, If I do apply with a med based personal statement, will it lower my chances of getting into dent?
I wanna do UCL (med), Manchester (med), Bristol (med), then KCL (dent)

I think you can do this but yes may lower your chances for dentistry. Check how KCL assesses dentistry applications. Some Unis find the statement very important, others don't look at it at all. If KCL doesn't assess it then it's worth a shot (I'd also email them about this).

Your UCAT will ultimately influence where you apply next year as these are all ucat-heavy unis

i know someone who applied for 3 dental schools and 2 med schools (you can use all 5 choices if you do a mix) so you can if you'd like, defo apply to unis that don't read personal statements though if you are less interested in a certain course

UCL and Bristol are both VERY high UCAT unis. Please do remember that all med schools are equal (you get to be a doctor at the end) so keep an open mind to which unis to apply for until you have done your UCAT. Then apply strategically, as getting in to any med school is difficult. More than half of med applicants won’t get a single offer, so make your selection wisely when you have all your stats in hand. Check each uni/course for minimum entry requirements and their admissions policy to see which ones will work towards your strengths (GCSEs/work experience/UCAT/predicted grades/contextual criteria etc). ‘Top’/prestigious unis may need more than their stated minimums to actually be in with a realistic chance.

Ps. I believe Plymouth is a common dentistry add on as they don’t look at personal statement at all, so it won’t lower your chances.

did they manage to get in? i’m thinking of maybe doing 4 dent 1 med or 3 dent 2 med
as i’m limited with which dental schools i can apply to and would rather some receive offers for med than immediate rejections for dent
