Y9 options stress

Hi,
I'm in year 9 and I'm about to move schools but I'm so worried because that school has already finalized their options.
We have a week off, and today was my last day, but on the Monday back, the teacher's going to make me fill out the form.
I feel like I'll struggle in subjects to catch up, and i'm scared about how everyone's going to in their own group, so it'll be hard to make friends.
I don't know whether I should pick geography or RS. I don't know if business is a good option - I heard some people say it's sooo hard and some say that it's sooo easy - not anything in between. I don't know what business is really about and what topics it will have - I don't even know what I want to become.
I basically only have a week to decide on my options, which i'll have to study for the next 2 years.

@Geo Lover 7 i think did both rs and geography so maybe can help (provided ive got that right!)
I'd definitely choose Geography. While the content is interesting in RS, the exam questions are so difficult (assuming the exam board is AQA).

I'm in the same situation - choosing GCSE options...
I'd chose Geography, but it's down to you to choose what you want to study...

I heard people say that RS is easier but a lot of content to memorise?

Don't get me started on the quote memorising or the 12 markers.

wait so, I shouldn't pick RS, right?
I's just, I don't think i'm that good at geography, and History is my worst subject...

Pick RS if you want as it's your decision.

I'm just really worried that I'll have to revise so much that I can't focus on other subjects as well as failing RS.

What are your previous experiences of these subjects? (Grades, enjoyment etc)

I struggled with that same GCSE personally.

Okay, I appreciate that. But, generally people say that RS is one of the easiest GCSEs. This is also shown in its high grade boundaries (approx. 92% = Grade 9)

This does depend on the exam board, themes and religions. I’d just like this student to take that into consideration.

Also, personal interests ?

They may find RS/Geography more interesting, I do both, they’re both incredibly interesting but that’s up for her to decide.

I found R.S. Interesting as well but just didn't like the 12 markers.

The 12 markers are definitely make or break. As long as you have covered all the content, therefore able to argue both sides, you can easily reach a Level 4 answer of 10-12 marks. Also, this content, is less than geography that’s what I find to make it easier than geography unfortunately

hiya, im a year 11 taking my gcses in 2 months. i take edexcel igcse geography. it can be kinda interesting at times but its very content heavy and you need to memorise quite a few case studies. the exam isn't necessarily that difficult, but time management can be an issue.
i don't take business but people in my school say its rather easy x (personally i wish i had taken business instead of geography but thats just cause i have lost passion for geography noww)
