The minimum you could get living away from home outside London is £4,917 (see details here). This probably won't cover accommodation costs at most unis, and then you need to buy food, pay for travel, social activities, etc.

If your parents are willing to submit their household income details to SFE and if it is less than £62,000, then you should receive more. The lower the household income, the more you will receive.

As your parents would be saving money on food and bills when you move out, ask if they would give you a weekly allowance (£40-50 per week) during term time to buy food. Otherwise think about taking a gap year so that you can earn some money to help through uni, take a part-time job at uni or choose a uni where you can live at home so that you would only have to pay for your travel.

Applications usually open in March although SFE hasn't confirmed the date yet.
