GCSE (10th and 11th India)

We are new to U.k and since my daughter has come in this month(Feb 2025),not able to admit immediately as the college only takes admissions for year 12 in Sep 2025 and it does not make sense as well as she will have only few months before the final year 12 exams.
Meanwhile, her public exam marks in grade 10 are not of her expectation. It would be better to improve her grades by writing her GCSE in UK especially in Science and Maths as she wants to take biology as her core subject. Please suggest the methods of preparing and selecting the centrs to appear for the improvement exams. What would be the suggestions? Also any short term courses available in U.K?

GCSE preparation generally takes 2 years, so it might take a bit of effort your daughter should be ready for but personally I studied last minute like the last few months and did A LOT of past papers and got great scores so time is not an issue. I suggest rather than taking a course hire a tutor of some sort because there is no way a 2 year GCSE qualification will have a short term course. For exams, you can just go to any centre or school and give the exam as a private candidate, not an issue wherever you live it's available (literally even India, I did my gcses in India - if money is an issue you can look at this option when you're visiting India).
