A level combo for law at lse or icl

I'm currently in year 11 and about to pick my A-levels. I'm considering Geography, Politics, Economics and Chemistry, but I'm planning to only take three out of those four. I'm set on Geography but I'm not sure if I should take Politics and Economics because they are essay-based or if I should pick one of those two and then Chemistry. I know essay based subjects are useful for law but I've heard people say top universities like lse and ucl like maths because it demonstrates other skills, however maths isn't my strongest subject and it is not one I enjoy (I'm currently on a grade 8). I'm not considering English Literature or Language either. Also I'm not sure if politics would make my application look weaker as some people consider it a "soft" subject yet it is on lse's preferred subject list.

You only need 3 subjects, and both UCL and LSE publish a list of their preferred vs non-preferred subjects and all the subjects you listed (including both English literature AND English language) are on their preferred subject lists.

LSE have nothing to gain from lying to you about their preferences, and they know better than you or "some people" what those are.
