What grades do you think I could get in the summer?

Hello, so I got my GSCE mock grades back and they are;

Business - 5
English Language - 8
English Literature - 8
History - 7
Maths - 5
R.E - 5
Science - 5-5
Sociology - 3

I feel like I could’ve done better in these mocks, but I barely revised, if im being honest.

I wanna know what A levels could suit me next year, and what outcomes I could get in the summer (if I did revision from now to the exams)

If anyone could help, that would be amazing!

certainly they will be way better than mocks trust me I've been there. Do tons of past papers now that you know the overall content. You seem incredibly talented in the essay writing subjects (English and history), you should certainly take them for A level! But you should know that they're going to be significantly harder, so if you genuinely enjoy these subjects only then you'll survive the A levels. Also, mocks are graded more strictly than the igcses so don't get discouraged, do your best and take the A levels you genuinely enjoy cause only then you'll be able to survive the workload.

Hey @Farhaan77,

English Literature and History seem to be some of your strongest subjects, so I'd recommend having a look at their A-Level specifications and seeing if the content you'd be covering over the next two years interests you. Aside from those two, you seem well-rounded in your other subjects - are there any ones you particularly enjoy, or any career paths you're currently considering?

In terms of final outcomes, you still have a good block of time between now and the start of exams, so you can definitely raise some of these subjects up a grade or two. Although it can be tempting to focus on the subjects you're strongest in, remember it's sometimes best to dedicate the most revision to those you might need more time with (e.g. sociology). 🙂

Hope this was helpful and best of luck!

You could get nines. These grades are a good start, and from here, with some extra effort and consistent revision, you could get the top grades.
