What exam board are you doing? I'm in Year 11, about to sit the exam in May. I do Pearson Edexcel, so if you're on the same exam board, maybe I could give you some tips.

hi!

when i was at school i also completed gcse history and struggled with this - one thing i would recommend doing, that i didn't at the time, is to make notes and learn content as you progress through the lessons. it is not a secret that it is content heavy so it is important to keep on top of everything! regular mini checks such as bbc bitesize, quizlets and blurting are a good way to keep you on your toes about all the information.

hope this helps!

Hi,

Go over some of the topics you're less sure on, do practice questions, that sort of thing. You can try some online quizzes or past exam papers or ask your teacher for some revision guides.

You could even attempt a past exam question on the topic you're not so sure on and then you could hand it into your teacher to mark. Your teacher will be able to give you a mark out of. However many marks it's worth and show you your weak points so you can improve next time.

Best of luck for next year

sorry for taking ages to reply to this 😭 personally I like to make timelines detailing key events as well as just mindmaps detailing for example why they happened or what they caused. I know it's a bit random but it's genuinely what I find useful 😭 also just doing practice questions and working out what they mean since some are worded weirdly really helps. Good luck!

If your school allow access to gcse pod watch the videos they are boring but so helpful. If not YouTube has some gcse revsion
