Uom accom help

I’m applying for ancient history and archeology for September 2025 and want to live in accommodation. But i am very confused as to what to choose and where.to go.

I want a relatively cheap one hopefully under 200 but if it’s a little over idm
I want a relatively social place, maybe near a cafe or somewhere I can get a job
I want to be close to lectures and the library so I don’t get lost lol

Does anyone have any advice?

Hi, I'm looking for a student replacement tenant for my current accom. I have a Deluxe Ensuite room for £195/week which features a ¾ bed with overhead and under-bed storage, a desk and chair, a double wardrobe, and a private en-suite bathroom. This room is in a 5 bedroom flat on the 3rd floor in Allen Court (located right next to the University of Manchester's Fallowfield campus) with Homes for Students. There is a shared kitchen and living room with TV and sofas, 2 fridges, plenty of cupboard space.

Perfect for both University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan and Royal Northern College of Music students!

3-4 minute walk to nearest bus stop

Busses run very frequently

20 minute bus journey to the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan

Gym group right across the street

10-15 minute walk to Sainsbury's - 10-15 minute walk to the Armitage Sports Centre, Fallowfield Campus, University of Manchester

Tenants have access to communal spaces such as a cinema room, study room and games room, which includes a pool table. For more information please feel free to contact me 🙂

Hi,

If your budget is £200 per week, then you could look at purpose-built student accommodation around Oxford Rd. There are many options near the University of Manchester, most of which offer social spaces and various community facilities within the flats. Of course, they are also surrounded by many supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes.
