Student finance- living with my grandparents
Hi, I’m a little confused about maintenance loans, while living with my grandparents.
I’ve recently started living with my grandparents after having to leave home due to issues with my mum. I do not speak to my dad and I haven’t ever in my life.
Would I still have to put down my mum and stepdads income for my maintenance loans, even though we are not speaking, and don’t ever plan to again. They will not support me financially at all during university.
I’m just really confused on whose house hold income I would put down. My grandparents currently support me financially, so would I put down there household income since they are the ones currently supporting me, and will until university

Can you provide proof (a letter from a professional like a teacher or social worker) that you are irreconcilably estranged from both parents?
If so then you would be classed as independent and your household income would be any unearned income you receive plus the income of any partner/spouse.
There’s no situation where SFE would class your grandparents as your household income.
