"One sitting" entry requirements?

Hey all! I'm wanting to apply for medicine at Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. I noticed some sites say that Highers must be achieved in one sitting. Does this mean you have to take them all in one year or does it mean no resits? Basically, I took a Higher in S4, so I'm taking 4 Highers and 1 AH in S5. Will this not meet the entry requirements as I am doing my highers over 2 years (still achieving before the end of S5 though), but still achieving my grades in the FIRST SITTING (ie no resits). Help would be very appreciated as I am getting mixed opinions! I have already emailed the admissions team, just wondering if anyone else was in the same position or knows anything else about it.

My understanding is that they won't except resists so you should be okay. Although you may need to check the AH entry requirements. Hopefully admissions team will clarify at some point but they're probably busy with sending offers out to the current cohort of applicants.

hopefully! The AH requirements are 2 Bs iirc, and I'm predicted an A and am sitting 2 more AHs next year. Just stressing because why would an early AH be bad; surely if it's to do with the academic workload, it'd be harder to do 4 Highers and an AH.

I really do think it's so they do not get people applying who have sat resists. You should be fine. Hope admissions get back to you soon. Good luck with the process.

thanks for your help! Yeah, it was just because someone on another thread told me the Scottish unis (except Edinburgh) did not accept early highers when they did it, but hopefully the AH will work in place of another higher!
