Applying through clearing to molecular genetics at Kings College London

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to apply through clearing to the molecular genetics course at Kings College, provided that I get sufficient grades at A level on results day this year? Molecular genetics wasn't the course I was applied to and I didn't apply to kings college either, but would it still be possible to apply through clearing on results day?

If Molecular Genetics Kings College London is in Clearing this year, the yes you can absolutely apply - there is no requirement to have applied to KCL initially or to have applied for Molecular Genetics initially. However, note the following:

1. It may not be in Clearing. If it isn't, then no matter what your grades (even A*A*A*) there won't be an opportunity to gain a place.

2. You say that you didn't apply to Molecular Genetics initially, which might mean that your Personal Statement isn't terribly relevant for the course (depending on what you did apply for initially). Although the degree to which Personal Statements are relevant to KCL during Clearing isn't clear, if they receive more Clearing applicants than they have Clearing spaces, then those with more relevant initial applications (and therefore more relevant Personal Statements) may have an advantage.
