Coursework book/play recommendations

For my coursework, I have to write a comparative essay on a play and a book. I was thinking of choosing Fahrenheit 451 and An Inspector Calls (primarily because I already studied An Inspector calls, so I thought it'd be easier.) I was going to link them by talking about society, individualism, selfishness etc, however I don't know if this is a good idea since Fahrenheit 451 is obviously a dystopian about burning books and An Inspector Calls is basically just socialism.

So does anyone have recommendations for novels that can be compared to An Inspector Calls?
Or likewise, any plays that can be compared to Fahrenheit 451? Thanks!

I think the great gatsby might be a good book to go with an inspector calls, as both touch on individualism and class/status from what I remember - it has been a long time since I touched either so I may be a bit fuzzy haha.

For a play that links to the themes of individualism, selfishness, and society I'd recommend All My Sons by Arthur Miller. It's a great play about how a capitalist society leads people into making selfish decisions that disregard the wellbeing of the wider society. It's quite short so it's easy to analyse. Other Miller plays also focus on similar topics so I'd recommend looking those up as well. The Crucible, which focuses on the Salem witch trials, would go well with Fahrenheit 451 with the themes of power, control, and fear.
