BCU therapeutic radiography interview

Hi, I recently got offered an interview invitation to Bcu for TR, it’s one of my first interviews and so I’m not really sure what to expect. I heard somewhere that the interview is written? I’m hoping for some advice on how to prepare for it.

Hi @Aguf

Congratulations on your interview offer!

Some general things to prepare for your interview would be to have all of your documents ready - anything you need will be mentioned in your admissions email. Have your outfit prepared too; it seems simple but planning it out and feeling comfortable in what you're wearing will help you relax more in the interview. Also plan your route so you have any transport sorted out - the less to worry about on the day, the better.

Then for the interview itself, it's good to think about some potential topics that might come up. You can consider why you want to study your subject, why you want to study at BCU, things you enjoy about the subject and what interests you. You can also look at recent news within your subject area to have an up to date understanding of the subject and what's going on outside of BCU. You can also research into your subject further so you can demonstrate a passion for the subject in the interview.

Another key tip would be to think of a few questions to ask too. This could be something about the course, the university, future prospects within the subject or something more specific you might want to know from your interviewers.

Although I had an interview for BCU, it wasn't for your course and so I'm not sure about any written components of the interview. My best advice with this would be to get in touch with the admissions team to see if they can offer any more insight.

Here's the BCU webpage for some more interview advice: https://www.bcu.ac.uk/student-info/how-to-apply/after-you-apply/how-to-prepare-for-your-interview

Good luck for your interview!

Emily 🙂
