Steelworks accommodation in Sheffield?

Hi there! I’m currently looking at the Steelworks accommodation for September 2025. I’m hoping to attend uni of Sheffield and study Speech and Language Therapy. I was just wondering whether anyone else is considering living here/anyone have any experience living here. Thank you!!!

Hey! I am planning on staying there in Spetember, as a first year Law student! Hopefully it wont be as quiet as some other city accommodations, as there is meant to be quite a good mixture of British and International students, compered to other private accoms which have mostly internationals that tend to be quieter and more introverted. Which type of room are you looking at booking ?

I’ve been looking at reviews for Steelworks and I’ve seen quite a lot of people say there’s lots of postgrad students. I’m still stuck between here and Endcliffe!

I visited Steelworks a few weeks ago as my grandparents live in Sheffield. I really liked it. The communal spaces and gym were great and the rooms were nice too. Id say there definitely is older students (2nd/3rd years) but 2/3 were 1st years. They told me I could email them and request to be but with first years, so you could always do that! I am planning on emailing them within the next days.
I also liked Endcliffe when i visited in the summer, but its very far away, the accomodation is quite old and dated, in comparison with private accommodation, and its a lot more expensive even though you share with more people. Hope this helps? Xx

I definitely feel like you get a better value for money at Steelworks. But I’ve heard that Ranmoore and Endcliffe are super social because it’s where most uni of Sheff 1st years live. I’m still undecided!
