Worried sick about my eyesight check

I’m stressed about the eyesight check for my driving and I have a test in 3 days. I have probably left it to the last minute to get this done but I guess it’s more so my instructors fault, on his part. As he hasn’t taught me or given me the opportunity to read license plates at the start. Today, was my first time reading license plates from 20 meters and I can say I did struggle. It just looked too far to see the correct letters. I confused a “S” for a 5 etc. I’m panicking that I’ll fail the test before it’s even started, because of my eyes. I was so concerned this morning that I had to book an eye test with the optician who gave me the all clear, no need for prescription. Hearing that was a bit of a reliever but it also doesn’t prepare me for my driving test. I have Monday and Tuesday to really boost up my driving skills and of course my eyesight check but I can’t help but to worry that I won’t do well. I have been practicing since (this morning) like going outside and trying to read license plates whilst walking or stood still. But my maths skills are terrible so I don’t really know how far or how long 20 metres really is. Is there anything else that can be done or do I just wing it? Advice please

Did the optician gave you a note that all clear?
How does the examiner measure the 20m?
You can flame to re-check the 20m because you even went to the optician to check it.

5 and S are very similar we (optometrists) don't even count it as a mistake if we use a mixed chart (rarely used at all for that exact reason).

Yeah, said I’m all clear, no need for prescription/glasses. And my instructor just literally asked me to get out of the car and stand beside the front wheels of the car. He also did 25 or 26 “steps” or big steps, not sure, and told me read from there. I read online the examiners get measuring tape, I’m so worried.

If they measure right you have nothing to worry about. You worry, that's why you see worse..

I also felt this way and was really anxious and so stressed but when it came to the test I was able to perfectly and clearly read the number plate my best advice is forget practicing reading random number plates. You need to tell your instructor about this and go to your actual real test centre and you need to get out of the car and stand at the distance used for tests and read the number plates of parked cars that usually are used for the car test.
how did it go??? i’m worried for my eyesight test as well
