currently, im studying 3 a-levels : English literature, history and spanish. i’m working at BBB and im predicted A*AB.

I have mocks starting the 2nd June therefore im going to record what i do daily in order to keep myself accountable and motivated.

my dream uni is oxford so hopefully i can achieve it

Saturday 15th february:
HW:
- Read and made notes on an article about Victorian literature (what it can be characterised by) and how it juxtaposes the Romantic period
- page 37 of my spanish grammar book
- completed the middle class section of my ‘To what extent was Russia on the brink of revolution by 1905’?

Independent study:
- watched the first half of the documentary ‘Russia’s lost princesses’

HW:
- completed the remaining sections of my ‘To what extent was Russia on the brink of a revolution by 1905?’ sheet - Government and Tsar
- completed 2 múltiple choice tasks on erevision

Independent study:
- listened to Spanish Music

Monday 17th February:
HW:
- researched ‘la situación de la mujer en el mercado laboral en el mundo hispánico’ - excluding Spain
- wrote a 2 sided argument on ‘Edward Heath; unlucky or incompetent?’

Independent study/ Revision:
- practised verb conjugation in my form time retrieval booklet (imperfect, simple future, conditional)
- watched the 2nd part of ‘Russia’s Lost Princesses’

I had all my lessons today which is why I didn’t do as much.

Independent study:
- Revision of quotes/key vocab for ‘Maria llena eres de gracia’ using blooklet/ kahoot/ jet punk
- listened to Spanish music

Hey what is ur gcse grades?

Also have you done AS official exams at end of year 12 that determines your ucas predicted grade? And what did you get in them ?

hii my gcse grades are 9998776665. i haven’t does AS official exams but my mocks will determine my ucas predicted grade. I don’t think we’re doing AS exams but i’ll have to ask my form tutor.

- finished cornell notes on ‘How did Witte seek to develop the Russian economy?’ with sections on the railways and heavy industry

Independent study:
- María eres llena de gracia vocab quiz
- started creating flash cards on Quizlet on the key events for my Russia course
- added to my ‘Love through the ages anthology - pre-1900’ for the poem A song (Absent from thee)’ using the Physics and Maths tutor notes
- listened to Spanish music

Independent study:
- created flashcards on quizlet for ‘los sitios históricos y civilizaciones prehispánicas’ for the overall topic of ‘el patrimonio cultural’
- ‘María llena eres de gracia’ vocab quiz - multiple times
- read a chapter of ‘All quiet on the Western Front’ as part of my wider reading for ‘Regeneration’
- read the foreword and ‘how to read this book’ (first 2 chapters) of ‘The Ode Less Travelled’
- listened to Spanish music

General things relating to my education:
- reasearched university options using unifrog and looked at career ideas ( i’m still clueless as to what do)

- reviewed flash cards for ‘los sitios históricos y civilizaciones prehispánicas’

in all honesty i hardly did anything since it was the last day of term and i was shattered 😪

Independent study:

started to complete an A3 mindmap on the theme of 'Physical Love and Desire' for English Lit which compares Jane Eyre and the 'pre-1900 love through the ages' anthology poems. So far I have sections on: Jane Eyre, To His Coy Mistress, She walks in Beauty (unfinished), The Flea (unfinished)


General:

researched different universities across the UK and the US

HW:

completed a table on the strengths and weaknesses of industrial development in Russia ( 1908 - 14)


Independent Study:

listened to 'Canal Fiesta Radio' to practise listening for Spanish for 47 mins

reviewed 'las mujeres en el mercado laboral' using the block blast feature on quizlet

completed the exercises on iambic pentameter using my poetry book ('Ode Less Travelled By' - Stephen Fry)


Overall, I don't think it was that much of a productive day because of the fact that I was on my phone or playing Stardew Valley for most of the day, however I'm aiming to be more productive tomorrow. I'm going to start trying to get all my work out of the way first before I allow myself to go on my phone/ switch because otherwise I'll get nothing done.
