Postgraduate Career Prospects: Securing Finance Job After Graduation

As someone who has worked in corporate finance for a couple of years and is currently doing a CFA, I applied to liberal arts programs related to politics and economics across the UK to take a short break from industry work. I am confident in my CV and work experience but not so much in the UK job market from 2026 onwards as a prospective Canadian graduate student (there are work visas available to me that do not require sponsorship if I choose to stay in the UK after). I was wondering which uni is better to study at in order to maximise my chances at getting a decent finance job post-graduation: Warwick, Bath, Edinburgh or Bristol.

Again, programs I applied to are not specialised in finance or offered by a management faculty. I intend to eventually re-enter the workforce—in corporate finance because of existing work experience (>3.5 yrs in capital markets, sell-side). I am aware that some UK master's programs catered to international students are cash grabs. Honestly, I just want a change of scenery and further my studies in a field I enjoy before going back to a mundane office job.

Question: Between Warwick, Edinburgh, Bath, and Bristol, which uni has better alumni networks, career placements, public transportation, and overall atmosphere?
