University Payments
If Student Finance are still processing your finance application then does the university have the right to ask you for payment knowing you are a student with little funds, this is why you asked Student Finance for assistance in the first place?. Also as I'm not earning over a certain threshold & the course is not yet complete.

The university has the right to be paid for the services it is providing to you.
Have you kept in contact with your university's finance team so they know what is happening? If they understand why it is they haven't been paid, and what the timescale is for them receiving your tuition fees, they may back off for a while. But ultimately they could suspend or expel you if they don't get paid.
Are you chasing Student Finance to find out why they haven't yet paid your university? Are they waiting on information from you that you haven't yet provided? (Is it possible that they're waiting for information, but you haven't realised?)
