Dental hygiene and therapy

On the QMUL website for dental hygiene and therapy or oral health, they require 6 passes with a grade 4 and I only have 5 passes with some grade 4 and 5. In September, should I apply or not worth it?

yeah i’m confused with it as well but do you have a combined science gcse? it says ‘The Science Double Award may substitute all sciences at GCSE’ so i’m sure it’s okay. I’m only in year 12 so i’m gonna call up the Uni about this in january

are you adamant about having QMUL as one of your UCAS choices, if you wanna do uni in london there’s still kings and eastman that accept 5 GCSEs

Hey. I think you should contact their admissions and ask them. That way you can get a solid answer on if they would or wouldn’t consider you with those qualifications. That’s what I did for all unis I was thinking of applying to and they are very helpful so just do that to be sure!

If you don’t have 6 GCSE’s at grade 4 and above then you don’t meet their entry requirements and it’s probably not worth applying because it’s a competitive course and there will be many applicants who will have the GCSES, maybe resit an easy one or see if they consider resits

i received a message from them and they said they will consider you, depending on your grades, personal statement and references

this is what they said:
“Each application is assessed on an individual basis and the Admissions team will consider all areas of your application including previous study, references, and your personal statement so you can make an application and wait for the admission team to decide.”

this is for anyone who is curious
