please be more specific. dimensional analysis as in checking that the units on both sides of an equation agree? or more complex than this?

Are you doing A level Physics or undergraduate study?

Dimensional analysis at A level Physics is not really dimensional analysis, is more like "unit analysis" like what jnsmith describes.
