They won't differentiate between medicine and pharmacy, both are in a healthcare setting and so share the same qualities.
Is this a 5th choice and medicine are your other 4?

A general rule in applying to medicine, if it is what you want to do, there isn't any point in applying to anything else.
I get why you have put a 5th choice for security, but when it comes time for me to apply, I won't be putting a 5th choice.

Tell us how it goes anyway!

Dw bro I just completed my interview. Kcl don’t rlly expect much work exp for pharmacy. But as med applicants both me and you, we think that work exp is everyting for every course. But it’s not. If anything it’s a bonus for us because we can pick snd choose things to mention in pharmacy interviews which are still appealing to pharmacy. They wldnt rlly ask u smth so vague like that I doubt.

That’s a good mindset but trust me. Unless your so sure that your all good for medicine and u will most definitely get an offer than I would always put a 5th option. With med applications, u just need one thing to go wrong in your predicteds, ucat including sjt, all the MMI’s, acctual a levels and chance to make u rejected from every uni no matter how smart you are. In my year, student got 3300 ucat band 1, triple A* predicted. Made one small mistake in her interview and got rejected by 2 universities already. And once u get closer to it all, I’ll realise just how much time medicine takes. Unless u feel perfectly fine taking a gap year, most people really really don’t want to. And would rather progress in a career which is almost as good.

I am 100% sure that I'll only be applying to medicine.

Could you provide some more info about this person? Not saying your story isn't true but it sounds incredibly unbelievable. A perfect applicant with a ucat that high would not be rejected for just "one small mistake in interview".

I will only take a gap year if I am rejected from all my choices, but unless I have a major slip up somewhere which I can't see happening right now, I won't be rejected from all.

You haven’t even applied yet. So you probably don’t know some of the mechanisms behind many med schools. I think maybe all. Once u get selected for an interview they don’t give a damn about anything else. Only your interview. This mechanism doesn’t apply to all courses though. It’s a good thing for those who have low ucat and grades as now they just have to do well in the interview. But frustrating for those who got rlly high in everything else and but aren’t particularly good speakers. I highly recommend not to be so up there and just to put down a 5th option. It ain’t like u even gotta do it if u got rejected from everywhere else. And anyways, she put down a 5th option too. It’s just a standard thing. Ur not wasting any extra time at all tbh apart from just choosing whatever course and where.

I think I know more than enough. I've already had siblings who have gotten all 4 offers to medical school so I understand just fine.
Also, the thing you said about them only caring about the interview may be true for some schools, but definitely not all. Many schools consider your ucat post interview to help with your decision and they obviously care about your grades as you have a conditional offer to fulfill.

I will not be putting a 5th choice essentially as I know I'll get at least 1 offer, or I'll go again next year. I'm doing medicine.

You didn't answer my question about the girl who made one small mistake that ended up in her getting rejected from 2 schools?

Alright bro don’t have to be snobby about it 😂😂 anyways it applies to universities like Cambridge, and most London unis. Not sure about any others. Not ucl though I believe. I already told you everything i know about her. And no she didn’t lie or exaggerate anything but Unfortunatley she didn’t get excepted into kings or Cambridge.

I'm not being snobby, you called me uneducated and I proved you wrong.
It applies to most uni's in general.
And so the thing you were saying about the girl being rejected for "a small mistake" is completely untrue if you don't know anything about it. She could have punched an interviewer and you wouldn't know 🙂

What are you talking about 😂😂 I don’t need to tell her whole life story to you. U were uneducated lmao because you said that one small mistake in an interview couldn’t have got her rejected. Well you’re wrong about that 😂😂. I never said she got rejected from all her universities. But the ones she applied too particularly Cambridge don’t care at all about ur ucat and predicted once your in the interview. But listen bro. Deny ur lack of knowledge elsewhere. I’m here advising you, someone who still hasn’t applied. But take it how you want. Doesn’t affect me bro. 😂😂💀
