Do a levels matter when applying to top firms for internships (finance)

looking to apply to top firms for internships, I go to a Russel group but got BBB in a levels, and 6/7s in GCSE,s. I'm wondering if it's a set back when applying to places like JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley etc. since I bet they aim to employ ppl that hold A*s. Is it too far of a reach right now and I should instead look at applying to them later on in my career? how can I make myself standout and appeal to employers right now?

It’s always worth applying and trying anyways. No one knows the answer as it depends on the pool of people applying, what relevant experience you have, what uni you go to etc. all of these things are usually more important than GCSE or A level grades. So just apply anyways and do your best, you’ll never know if you don’t try
