memorise quotes, a couple of different ones for each book. Make sure they are applicable to MANY different themes, so you dont need to learn a whole bunch.
•
revise content that you can embed (about the author, about society at the time and more.) you can add this into your response and the examiner loves it!
•
for poems try to memorise information on 5 poems or so, but less is okay too. Make sure these poems link to a variety of other ones (preferably the ones you havent revised but can recall.)
•
make sure to revise structure and methods for everything!
•
create language/structure methods checklists so you know what to write about.
•
look at different resources on things like physics and maths tutor - they are really helpful and have loads of past papers
•
create a checklist of the things you arent so good on and work through it (for me its structure and comparison questions)
•
create mind maps, magazines or anything else that helps you understand key themes (i do one pagers on characters, including quotes, context and key words to describe them)
•
do a LOT of past paper questions, focus on the ones you arent as good at to start off with - you should be able to ask your teacher to mark them!
