year 11 gyg :)

Hi everyone!
I'm currently in year 11 and wanted to document my process as I got through the year.
Subjects I take + predicted grades for them!!
Triple science - 7 in all
Maths - 8
English lit - 9
English lang - 9
Citizenship - 9
Spanish - 8+
History - 9
DT - 8+
Already took German last year as I'm fluent and I got a grade 9!!
Background info:
- I've picked english lit, history, politics and economics/german for a level (depends of what sixth form I got to)
- I would love to study politics, international relations and/or law at a russell group uni (Cambridge for law is the ultimate dream)
- I'm really passionate about politics so I would love to have a career in it as a lawyer (either human rights or international law), diplomat or possibly journalist
- Aiming for all 8/9's in my GCSES
Hobbies/things I love:
Fave music - taylor swift (saw her London n2 last year) , gracie abrams (maybe seeing her in march!!), cas, the smiths, frank ocean, lorde + more which i've probs forgotten
Fave movies/TV shows - perks of being a wallflower, Brooklyn 99, Gilmore girls, 10 things I hate about you, friends
Hobbies - ballet (I take RAD and just did my intermediate foundation exam, also peter pan as a show in march) + reading (fav book is Percy Jackson lol)

Awww tysm, I'm literally the same with Percy Jackson it's such a comfort book 🙂 Good luck with everything!!!

Np, I feel like we've all gotta encourage each other at least a bit or no one will want to try for good grades 🤷*♂️. I keep telling myself to move on to more advanced reading but just end up crawling back to Percy Jackson, it's just a feel-good book 😊 Thanks for this, seriously appreciate it!!

Update - 18/2/25 🌸
Yesterday I did just over 4 hours:
Around 1.5 hour of english short story mind map
1 hour history blurting
1 hour maths practice from an exam pack my school gave me
1 hour C8 content with a science tutor
I was also going to write some Spanish speaking answers and make a C8 mind map but I'm not feeling 100% so I want to bed early 🙂
Todays plan:
Finish writing Spanish speaking answers for up coming mock
Maths tutoring where I'll go through a past paper I did on Sunday
Physics P6 mind map
History 8 + 16 marker for cold war exam practice (it's homework but I'm counting it has revision lol)
Citizenship catch up work from a cover lesson which I didn't do - it's a past paper so I'm also still counting it as revision
Work on DT initial sketches which I STILL haven't done + on my NEA which is long overdue
If I have time start the C8 mind map from yesterday
I know it's a lot but I have hope I'll be able to get most of it done

Didn't manage to finish all the tasks I set for myself on that day but I finished them the next!! That day I also did some bio mind maps for B6, history blurting and and English mind map. Only did a chem mind map yesterday as I was feeling so unmotivated but I'm going to finish the rest today.

Doing a chemistry mind map is what I'd do when I was feeling motivated ngl 😭 How far through your NEA are you actually? You've probably done like ten times the amount I've done 😑 I've already had four of my mocks and they went surprisingly well, considering I had two english exams 😬 Very glad for the week off to revise but I'm stuck on how to revise for biology when I get back. I'd really really appreciate some tips tbh 😅 Good luck anyway!!

Theology and Philosophy: AQA - Route A with Islam
Triple Science: Pearson Edexcel iGCSE
Mathematics: Edexcel
History: Edexcel iGCSE
Classical Civilisation:OCR
English AQA - Lit
iGCSE Edexcel - Lang
Sooo if anyone is doing any of these subjects I would love to study with you cause I really need to lock in especially classics cause I’m failing and I don’t know anyone else who even takes this subject let alone this exam board 😓😓😓
Also can anyone give me tips on German and English because I’m not doing great at those 🙃
