Hi there!

I'd personally say it depends on which one you enjoy more and will be motivated to study for! I'm now in my third year of Psychology and I'm currently taking modules looking at cognitive neuropsychology! Most universities will want you to have taken one science, so Biology will have you covered! I personally haven't encountered any Chemistry content that wasn't in Biology (aka everything I needed was covered in Biology), but this might differ depending on who you ask! I took Biology, Psychology, and Computer Science at A-Level and have used all of them in one way or another, and I got all 5 of my university offers! History would help you with essay experience (which is very common at university), and if you enjoy it more than Chemistry you'll be more likely to do well!

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know!

Look at the 'entry requirements' for Neuroscience at a range of different Unis, and see which A level subjects are essential - examples :
Neuroscience, undergraduate courses : University of Sussex
Neuroscience | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol
Cognitive Science BSc | School of Psychology | Newcastle University

Job / career profile - Neuroscientist job profile | Prospects.ac.uk

As someone else said I'd look at the entry requirements for unis you might be interested in. But otherwise, I don't think chemistry is necessary for cognitive neuroscience if you're taking biology and psychology (to my knowledge at least)

Good Morning!

Neuroscience sounds like an amazing career! I think it depends on the entry criteria for the universities you want to apply for. I did biology, chemistry and English literature at university. An essay based subject, history in your case, is good as it can help you practice your essay writing skills. In my undergraduate degree (Medical Biology) I found that my chemistry A-Level complemented the modules I took at uni (the biochemical foundations of life for example). This may be the case for Neuroscience as well. i'd also say that its good to consult a careers advisor at your school, as they will be able to aid you in this.

Good luck!
