Building a portfolio

I have an interview for digital content creation and I’m struggling to put together my portfolio, any tips on what I should write about and what I should include in the portfolio?

Hey @Gabriela!

Well done on your interview!

I would recommend creating a website based portfolio which is more professional and that you can add to with your projects in the future. This way, attaching a link to your portfolio when sending out is easier than attaching a big file!

From what I have been told and how I have created my portfolio, using others professionals as inspo, I have separated my work into projects and use mainly visuals that look more appealing and show my work better than words. What really helped me was looking on TikTok for inspiration which actually was really useful and set me off for a good template. Also looking through comments on those type of videos helped too.

I hope this helped!

Hi Yasmin,
Do you do a degree in Digital Content Creation at Kingston University?
I am doing a BTEC in this subject at Kingston College and will finish next year.
