Job satisfaction specsavers

I have recently passed my pre reg with specsavers and have been struggling with job satisfaction. Having short exam times and many back to back appointments has sapped any joy I had for the job. I was wondering if this was just an issue of big corporates and whether an independent practice would be better as I have never worked anywhere else? Does anyone have any experience moving from corporate to independent practice or any advice? Thanks
