Applying for student finance in march before accommodation?

Hey, I have recently been given my unconditional from Leeds Beckett as a mature student (26) and was wondering if I should be waiting until mid-march time for student finance applications to open up before applying for any accommodations there. According to .gov calculations I should be getting the full amount but I don’t want to be picking a room for something to possibly change etc.

Would you be applying for university owned/managed accommodation, or something privately?
The reason I ask is that this page on the Leeds Beckett web site provides an idea when their own booking systems open, and says:
"Starting in September 2025: Bookings open Spring 2025".
Now, I realise that "Spring" is a tad vague, but it may well be that you've got you student finance sorted before you can actually apply for Leeds Beckett accommodation anyway.

I think you’re right, I seen something about them being open but I think I may have seen that regarding the January start, thank you. I almost made the same mistake applying for last years student finance only to realise it’s just not open yet.
