Running shoes for beginners

Beginning of January I got myself into the gym to help mentally with myself and wanted to start running as had done it in the summer but stopped due to foot pain. Are there any good running shoes for wider feet that help with pain that runs along the outer side of my foot ? I’m not looking to spend an arm and a leg as I’m just starting so looking at around 60-70£
TIA

Get yourself to a decent running shop and get a gait analysis. It will cost you. My first pair of running shoes were £167 but now I know what I need, future purchases will be much cheaper.

Yes I’m thinking of just taking the plunge and getting myself a good first pair rather then every few weeks having to rebuy a cheaper pair. I live in a pretty small area so not sure we have places that will do a analysis as I was looking into that

Googly woogly. Either make the trip or be surprised.
