LNAT resukts

My son has just got his LNAT results.
It has two marks. 21-42 and 16-42.
Are these bad marks

There should only be one result out of 42 sent to you by email, which is the section A multiple choice questions. Section B's essay is marked differently by all different uni's and therefore wasn't sent out in yesterday's results.
The average for the MCQ section was a 21/42 .

Hello, Those 21/42 represent the national average for the LNAT this year, while 16/42 is the result your son received. There is no pass mark; however, universities judge the LNAT MCQ mark differently. Some place heavy concern on it, such as KCL and UCL, while others regard it less and look more at the essay part of the LNAT. Its up to the University your son joins to view his results as enough.

Thanks yes it is 15-42 it does sound low. Ge is trying for Durham

He could still get into Durham if his LNAT essay and A level predictions are good, they have given offers to people with 16.
