Are these good uni grades?

I’m in first year of uni and I’ve received two results: 61% & 65%. I have no idea if this is decent or not!?
Assuming 70% upwards is Distinction level at your uni (most are but a few aren't), then sure it's a very decent start.

Hi there,

As a first-year with those grades, you are definitely on the right track. University grades will most probably be very different from what you've experienced in school in the past, as there will always be room for improvement. 60% and above means that you have been able to showcase your knowledge and understanding of the subject!

If you have any further questions, let me know!

Hi there!

These are very similar to my grades when I first started uni, and in my opinion a very good start! This at the moment would put you at a low-mid-2:1, which for a brand new first year is great. Also, remember that these initial grades only reflect where you are now fresh out of sixth form and not where you will be by this time next year when you'll have done more of your course, got used to the assessment and writing technique and improved.

Keep it up 🙂 best of luck this year!
