GSA/ECA Offer holders? 2025

Hi, I applied to fashion (BA) thru UCAS for ECA (edinburgh college of art), GSA (glasgow school of art). As their portfolio deadlines have already passed and I've heard people receiving interview invites, I'm starting to get a bit worried. I submitted my portfolio approx. the week before the deadline. Has anyone received any offers from either school? or interview invite?

Hi! I also applied for Fashion BA at ECA but haven’t heard anything yet. My tutor said they usually are slow to respond. Let me know if you hear back!

ive applied for product design at ECA, i checked student room to see around when people got their offers for ECA last year, and a lot of people didnt hear back till april as far as i saw

heard someone got an offer for painting and printmaking, someone also got an offer for fashion design in GSA today! found on student room as well

But do you think there's any chance of them giving out unconditional offers I've received 2 already but I heard Edinburgh is highly selective with who they give them out.

just out of curiosity, what was your portfolio like? i had to dig up a bunch of past work i did to be able to fit into all the weird sections, like the visual research and enquiry and the contextual awareness, it was kinda hard for me to apply all the specifications to product design, so just wanted to see how others approached it?

For me , I presented like 6 projects I did, 4 of them had all research images and how I used the research, development and what approach I took, then the manufacturing and because I do Art and product design I had a lot of variety also within my develpment I used a variety of things aswell like differant CAD websites (like Solidworks and Sketch up) and hand drawings and so on. The last 2 were from competitions I won and workshops I attended. They just want to see how you think basically.

Do you know if these people had interviews? I’m wondering what the turnaround time is like following an interview, like do people receive an offer (or decline) a day/couple of days later?

Hi! I've received an offer from GSA (I had to do an interview) but nothing from Edinburgh yet - I've heard they're notoriously slow to give offers. My friend has applied to a similar course to you and has also heard nothing back yet. I think that Edinburgh doesn't do interviews any more (at least for some of the subjects, such as Fine Art). Good luck!!

Hi - I submitted my portfolio in early January and heard back a few days later about an interview. However, one of my friends only interviewed yesterday so I wouldn't worry!
