Hi! I recently just got an offer to study economics at both Cambridge and LSE. I was really confused as to which one to pick. I had recently gone for the open day at Cambridge and thought the campus was quite nice, but I am not good at history and politics and think I would really struggle with that aspect in the course in first year, but don't think I mind doing it. I am very good at maths but for me, I want to pick the university which will help me the most career wise, as I really want to go into investment banking after University, but don't know which university will be better for me. I have heard that LSE help more with careers in terms of internships, but in terms of jobs after university, I don't know if Cambridge or LSE will help more as I have heard that the academic prestige Cambridge carries is still very good, but LSE provides a lot of career support. I could really use some support and advice as to what would be better to help me get a career into investment banking as this is what I mainly care about!

Thank you!

what are the chances of an econ offer with a 4.5 in the tmua as aninternational student? i have 5A* predicted (math, fm, physics, econ, epq)from a reputable college but my tmua is quite low so not sure.

Anyone with latest offers from LSE who can share grades, TMUA scores etc or if they have heard on the lower side of TMUA score acceptance. I have heard 8.2, 7.6 and up to 6.2's so far but nothing at the lower end of TMUA (and also 5.9 from this thread)

sorry bro but i think the chances are low, mainly because your TMUA probably isn't competitive enough as an international applicant.

Hi I received my offer last Thursday with a TMUA of 4.1. A*A*A*A predicted in Maths, Further Maths, Economics, and Computer Science but I am a home student and it was a contextual offer.

Finally the offer I have been so anxiously waiting for LSE Economics🤗🤗. So relieved as I was really disappointed after such a good interview but still got rejected by Oxford but got offers now from LSE, Warwick, UCL and Bath, so going to pick LSE and Warwick as firm and insurance. the LSE 8pm Thursday which many people have mentioned seems true as I got notification exactly at that time.
