Help laet or ba

pros of ba:
-few friends going there, will know most people from my current year group too
-familiar with some teachers
-been in the area for 7 years so i know my way around

cons:
-not many shops nearby
-close to home, dont like the fact that its too close though bcs i like travelling a lil ++ younger sibling would get sent to that campus too for secondary so will be forced to go pick them up after skl
-dont like the area
-dont like most ppl
-think id feel miserable and restricted for another 2 yrs

pros of laet:
-FRESH start.
-seems way more stronger academically
-wouldnt mind the commute, also would give me a little more leeway to finally go out eventually
-a close friend has also applied to go there
-dresscode seems a little more relaxed than ba?

cons:
-commute is an hour long
-heard theres not many shops nearby but oh well ill drop that standard 🙄

i have a few questions if you dont mind
1) how was your interview? what did they ask? what was the process like?

-the email i got says i need to be onsite for 2 hours but the confirmation gave me a 30 min window between 11:30-12

2) hows year 12 so far?

3) whats the dresscode like?

4) whats the school like in general? cramped or spacious?

5) what subjects do you do? what are the teaching styles like?

6) what item did you bring to your interview?

1) My interview(er) was pretty chill. They asked how I fit into their 4 values (Endeavour Aspiration Reflection Community). You actually only do the interview as the last thing on your itinery. The 30 min interval thing is for you and your group of around 30 students to be grouped. You have a talk with a teacher, then speak to a panel of yr12s and yr13s.
2) I like it. Some people are just strange but you get that in every school. Teachers are pretty chill.
3) Smart casual. I wear black trousers and a jumper.
4) The schools not necessarily large nor small. Its non study areas are large enough to accommodate 400 students in lunch times. People are usually quite spread out during lunchtime. During break its a different story however
5) I wanted to do Maths Econ/Physics CompSci and Politics - but due to them getting full pretty early on im currently doing Maths Further Maths Politics and Biology (Spot the outlier). All teachers are pretty chill. For Politics you have to keep up with the news quite often as part of the course. For maths or even A Levels in general its HEAVILY independant. You are expected to make and maintain an independent study folder for each subject
6) I totally forgot about my interview timings, and in a hurry just took a couple rubix cubes instead of my collection of medals

Nice combo. Just try and think of any times youve fit into their values. For community you can talk about volunteering etc. Endeavour you can talk ab how you have already started to look at the spec for your a levels etc. Aspirations you can talk ab what plans you have eg Uni Degree Apprenticeships. Nothing too serious either way
