Hi, I have an LLB offer from queens. I am unsure about the job prospects after LLB? I mean securing traing contracts and progressing further. I am a international student and have to spend fair amount on the tution fees.
You will have to take the SQE and obtain a training contract or other qualifying work experience. You should apply for vacation schemes and then training contracts whilst still at QMUL.

No. I'm a barrister. I teach part time on the LLM course at UCL and have occasionally taught at the QMUL Postgraduate Centre for Commercial Law.
Thanks a ton. I am unsure about how many LLB's from QMUL have secured a training contract each year(like 50% or less) as that gives me an indicative figure about employability after LLB.
Not every law graduate seeks a training contract. There are however far more people seeking training contracts and pupillages than there are places. There are about ten applicants for each training contract place and about four for each pupillage. Those are the overall figures. The ratios for places at the best known firms and chambers are worse.
Students obsess about whether university X does better than university Y. This misses the point. There is a vast excess of supply over demand.
Thank you very much for the reply. what are the grounds on which we are selected for training contracts? Grades of exam? I assume without training contracts and SQE exam we can't practice as a solicitor . Is that correct ?
