MPhil in Finance Cambridge 2025/2026 Intake

Hey everyone,
I hope you're all well!

I saw that there was no forum for the MPhil in Finance at Cambridge for the 2025/2026 intake. Has anyone heard back so far?

I did not, but there's someone who said he got an offer on another thread.

There will probably be decisions next week.

My M.Phil. in Finance application received a DP on February 4th, followed by a conditional offer on February 18th. One of my friends also got a DP and a con offer on the same date, but he rejected the offer right after he received it since he already received a Finance PhD offer in the U.S. Historically, offers typically come in late March or early April.

I'd like to provide some basic information and background about myself.

Submitted on October 5th.

I am an international student and a triple major with a 3.98/4.0 GPA at a prestigious private university in the U.S.

I have extensive TA/RA experience and interned as an equity research analyst and fixed-income analyst during the past two summers. While the firms were not particularly prestigious, I worked on some interesting projects.

I have strong recommendations from my two academic supervisors (one of whom visited Cambridge Judge Business School last fall, which might have had some indirect impact).

I passed the CFA Level 1 exam in May 2024 and am currently a candidate for FRM Levels 1 & 2 and CFA Level 2 this summer.

My honors thesis focuses on natural language processing, sentiment analysis, and some machine learning/deep learning applications. I did not write a research proposal at the time, as I didn't have a well-defined idea.

I also did not submit a GRE/GMAT score (though I later obtained a good GMAT score, I didn't follow up by emailing or inquiring about it).

Hi there, congrats on your conditional offer! What makes you say that historically offers come in late March or early April - where did you get this data from? Last year's thread on student room seemed to indicate that if you hadn't received an offer by first week of March latest then it looked unlikely you were going to get one.

I agree about last year but there were also rejections at the same time, and it seems no one has received a decision yet since the early February batch.

Hey, I saw that someone's application went to PAO around March 23, 2022, for the 2023-2024 academic year, so I believe some applicants will move to DP by the end of March.
