Do A level percentages matter?

Say if I was to get 95%+ in my a level, which is an A*, does it matter? Or does it only matter that I got the A*?

Conditional offers are based on achieving certain grades (the letters, A* or A or B etc) in your A levels, without regard to the specific percentage. If you are applying with grades you have already achieved, your universities will only see your grades, and not the percentages, unless you were to specifically mention them in your teacher reference or your personal statement, but I would hope you have more interesting things to spend your word count on.

In short, the percentages don't matter, just the grade.

You can choose to put whatever you want on your CV, but it really isn't going to be a big deal if you get 95% in a particular exam. Grades are a standardised way for people to easily understand your achievement. Going on about a particular percentage seems a bit strange. Up to you though.
Jobs and unis will only care about letter grades.
