Second Degree funding + Foundation degree

Hi, I've applied for a foundation year called "Introduction to Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography
Foundation course" that appears to be stand alone. Would this be funded as part of my second degree exemption? If not would the extra year of funding from the previous degree or even the second degree cover it??

Hope question is clear

Hi Abdualu123,

I can check that for you.

Can you confirm the name of the university and when this course will commence?

Thanks, Clare

Thanks - this course isn't an exception, so you won't be entitled to any funding from us, unfortunately.

Normally, for a course to be an exception it needs to be at degree-level / higher than a Foundation.

It may be worth speaking to your university to see if they have any advice.

Thanks, Graeme

Do you know if an advanced learner loan can be used to cover the full tuition of a foundation course?

This particular course shows as attracting undergraduate funding, so it's not something that would normally get Advanced Learner Loan funding.

However, we'd definitely suggest asking the Advanced Learner Loan team directly just to be sure, you can reach them on 0300 100 0619.

Thanks, Graeme
