Would you rather work your birthday or take day off?
What's your personal preference?
I personally didn't like very much the last 2 days off I took. The last time I just worked and doing similar this year.
I stopped people from calling me who's attention I didn't want since I felt overwhelmed and thought I would be again.

Depends when it is. If it is on the final two days of the week or Monday (a hospital’s busy day), I’ll try and take them off but tbh, working on my birthday doesn’t phase me too much.
If my holiday falls on a weekend, I am not taking it off as bonus pay (when I eventually find a job that is again…).

I am fine working them and remember some years back being fine working a full day in hospitality back some years and I felt fine doing that.
The last day off, I was supposed to go and cancel it but it seems it was too late for me. Thankfully last time I felt better at Work than having a day off.
It just makes me worry when I am off that I won't have it the way I want it.
