Hi, I did iGCSE triple science so slightly different scenario to you.

You might be a bit behind to start off without triple science but as long as you’re willing to put in the effort, you should be ok! It’s not an easy A-Level - don’t get me wrong…

That’s probably a good idea - just so you’re not behind going straight into Y12. But honestly it’s not a huge detail - most, if not all, of that triple content will be re-covered so I wouldn’t be overly concerned.

Hi,

@DerDracologe is right that buying the CGP head start book is probably a good idea to start with.

Edexcel International’s CGP revision guide might be helpful if you’re specifically looking to revise triple science content! I have a copy myself and it helped me a fair amount for GCSEs. If you get it, you’ll see that it sections out the triple science bits quite nicely so you’ll know exactly what you’d need to cover. In particular, you’d have missed a lot of organic chemistry without triple science (alcohols, carboxylic acids, esters, polymers etc.) so just make sure you’re ahead with that. I felt that that side of the course started really quickly - we covered skeletal formula in 2 lessons and then immediately moved onto free radical substation (you can search them up! ) and other reaction mechanisms so it’s important to be on top of the basics of naming and drawing chemicals if you want to avoid falling behind!
