UCL English BA 2025

I applied for it at the early entry deadline and I recently got confirmed an interview! I’m just wondering if anyone has already gotten an interview and has any tips for preparing? Thank you

Hey, I had my interview for English at UCL in January. It was really nice and felt quite relaxed, so my biggest tip would honestly be not to stress! I would definitely recommend going over your personal statement in quite a lot of detail and thinking about what areas could be turned into questions and think about some practice answers to these. Even if they don't ask you those specific questions it will still help to refresh the ideas in your personal statement and identify the areas that you are strongest on so that you can try to direct your answers to include these stronger points.

My interview was very much based around concepts or ideas I had spoken about in my personal statement but maybe not in a lot of detail, which I imagine may be similar to a lot of other people due to the character limitations. They seemed to pick up on these areas and essentially just give me a chance to develop these points further, as well as drawing on two of the texts I had mentioned too. Hope this helps! x
